Default New guy in need of advice

Hey guys. Name is Justin from south jersey. About a month ago me and my girlfriend bought her a 99 accord ex 2.3 auto with 156k. guy was the original owner and had a clean carfax with dealer maintenance since new. As I was driving it yesterday I noticed when it shifted from 3rd to 4th under heavier load (above 3k rpm) it would slip a bit before dropping into 4th. not much slip, maybe 2-300 rpm before it dropped into 4th. I thought it weird since it never did this previously so I checked the trans fluid and it was at the correct level and looked nice and clean. this morning it seemed to kinda stumble in 1st gear then continued its issue with the 3/4 shift. then the CEL popped on. scanned it and P0740 popped up (torque converter circuit malfunction) and I believe it was P0700 which was a shift malfunction. I took off the lock out solenoid to see if the screen was gunked up. looked clean so I popped it back on and took it for another drive around the block. still the issue with the 3/4 shift and now when you come to a stop it doesn't wanna shift to neutral and tries to stall. found a used solenoid on ebay and ordered it. But do you think that will fix it? or will I be doing a torque converter on this thing in the near future?

Welcome to HAF.

Are you still getting the codes after the cleaning?

I don't want to jump to bad things but you might be looking at a trans rebuild in the future.
