New head and gasket. Still coolant in oil. 97 accord
Just got a reman. Head put on and head gasket replaced and I'm still losing coolant into the oil. What's else could possibly cause this besides a cracked block? And if it is a cracked block then I can't see there being any cost effective way to fix it.

As for a cost effective way to fix "it"...
It depends upon which "it" you're trying to fix. If you're trying to fix your current engine, yeah, probably not cost effective to fix that "it", however, if the "it" is the entire car, then buying a used motor (they're very plentiful) and dropping it in will very much be a cost effective way of fixing this particular "it".

Good call, being a manual transmission bigot I always seem to forget about the trans cooler in the radiator.

Are you seeing sludge in the coolant (at the radiator cap)? Or are you seeing milkshake-type stuff in the engine-oil? Or in the transmission oil?
If it's the transmission cooler, that can't get into the engine oil. It CAN create sludge in the coolant & in the ATF.
