New to the Honda
Hello everyone,
I am new to the Honda Accord as this 91 is my first try at a honda. I hope someone can help me out. My speedometer comes and goes for no apparent reason. Also there is a green S flashing on the dash and I have no idea what it means.
Thanks,

RE: New to the Honda
Maybe your VSS? That would explain both. Read the error codes from your TCU.

http://www.dhost.info/accordinfo/howto/cel.html Gives instructions that are pretty similar to your accord. Your plug is brown. Short that connector with a thin paper clip.
Instead of counting the Check Engine Light flashes, you count the S flashes. I will bet that your S light will flash 4 times (bad VSS) and that the Check Engine Light will flash a code 17 (also a bad VSS).

91 is old style blinking LED on ECU itself.

The link you found in post #6 is probably good, but wire colors might be different.
