New PS pump is LOUD

Probably have 2k miles on my new power steering pump on my 03. Noticed right off the bat it was kinda noisy but ignored it. Is there any way to cure this unit?

Did you change the inlet joint o-ring? They are famous for letting air in, and making a lot of noise. Mostly when the engine is cold. A lot of people have changed the pumps, and the problem was the o-ring.

pull it off and return it. just because its new doesnt mean its good. i deal with lousy parts constantly.

Take it back and get the better pump and not the cheaper one..

If you bought it from a good parts company, they wont give you any bring back greif.
