my gf has had her 96 honda accord for a few yrs now and the window stopped working. she says she has gotten a new window regulator and motor before and that one broke as well. is it a short in the system or do i need to replace something else? she said one of her other friends said that the rubber strip around the window needs to be replaced as well for it 2 work correctly. is this true?
so before i go and buy new window regulators and motors off ebay, do i need to know anything else?

I just started experiencing the same issue with my front passenger window this morning on my 97 Accord EX sedan. The window rolls up slowly and then stops when it's about 4 inches away from going all the way up. From this point, I have to grab it with my hand to guide it all the way up to get it to fully roll up. Could this be a sign of my window regulator getting ready to go out on me or is it something else? In the meantime, what do I use to lube up the window tracks to see if it helps?

I'm personally gonna try PB Blaster on my 87 Accord to see if my windows work any better... They go real slow (bout half the speed of my wifes 2001 F150) When really cold (below 10 Degrees F) they stop all together.
