The codes start with the letter P and have four numbers, so you have a P0450 to search web.

I don't see a P0450 in my 96 shop manual. Can you recheck the code you got?

Your 96 has both the OBD-II port and the older style 2-P service check connector (blue connector) under the passenger side dash. Jump the blue connector and get the trouble codes by counting the number long and/or short blinks for the Check Engine Light. See if that may help give more clues as to the problem.

Default No Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

Those are the results of a scan from Firestone Po450-Po453.I'm told there is no FTPS on a 1996 Accord.I have no idea what the sensor looks like.I'm not alone on not knowing this based on some "experts"My question is does the 1996 Accord have a FTPS or not?If so where its located?

There is no P0450, but a P0453 for the FTPS. Here is a picture.

Rock Auto has a couple options for them.

Your other thread already had a link showing where the FTP sensor would be located if it had one.

https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...give-up-46905/

On the Honda parts diagrams, 1996 EX, LX coupes, and LX sedans (with ABS) for California emission shows that FTP sensor.

It is not shown for LXs sedans for other State emission (with ABS or without) and LX sedans - California emission without ABS.

The O.E. site shows it for an LX as well in the underhood diagrams...but that wouldn't be the first time an O.E. publisher was wrong....

I noticed from some of your previous post that you had a 1997 Accord and was looking to possibly swap the engine. Is your current Accord the previous 1997; but, with a swapped 1996 LX engine?

The Honda parts list shows the 1997 Accord with the FTP sensor for all LX trims; however, only 1996 LX coupes and LX sedans (with ABS) - California emission show the FTP sensor.
