Noisy ride
sounds like they gave you back more problems than you gave them. They should reconsider working on cars. Talking about the people who tried to fix it the first time. That has to suck and is the insurance company going to pay for the new shop to do the work or is that going to come out of your pocket?
The insurance company told me to take the car to the place that originally "fixed" it. I told them that I was having it independently evaluated (my money) and then we could talk about who will fix the job. The insurance company is responsible for fixing it and if I can show that the first autobody shop did an awful job and tried to cover it up, I'm sure they will pay for someone else to fix it or have the first shop pay the new shop! I am still waiting to have the car evaluated. The new shop is waiting for a new piece of equipment that can determine if the frame is bent within 15 minutes.
Funny that you should make that recommendation - that is exactly what I am trying to do! I spent the weekend doing quite a lot of research. It turns out that the machine is not something that many shops have; however, I just want to move on with this. If the shop can't give me an appointment, I am contacting someone else who came highly recommended.
