Default Not surging, fuel dropping off while driving.

I have 2001 V6 Accord Coupe. I am a newby to this site yes but no newby to Hondas. I had my gas tank on empty all day. Had not driven it all day. Sat in drive during a hard constant rain. Drove late evening and within half mile fuel dropped off. Felt like out of gas, low gauge so got some gas didn't think much of it. Drove right back home (1mile) happened 2-3 more times. Today I checked out engine area, gas cap, even fuel pump areas for anything abnormal. Find nothing and just allowed engine to run for 15 minutes or so, seemed fine. Tried to drive it to parts store and barely got out of drive and started again. Got so bad there's no way to drive it. Had parts house being me some fuel treatment. Used lucas engine/fuel cleaner. Seemed great for almost a mile, just when I thought I was good, dropped out again, nursed it last little bit home. Am not losing electricals, no engine light, and engine never dies and once shut off, starts right up normal. I can usually take care of everything on my vehicle, have in past. Lost my leg and not been able to do my thing. Help??

I would check fuel pressure. If your tank was empty all day the filter may have gotten clogged.

Unfortunately, the 98-02's didn't have an external fuel filter. They use the sock in the tank for a filter.

I didn't say anything about external. Honda has not had an external for decades. Meaning he will have to take the pump out. I assumed he knows were the filter is since he owns the car but maybe I should of been clear for everyone reading the post.
