Default not your average starting problem

Alright so my 95 lx has a starting issue. Its not every time, most of the times it starts fine. But every once and a while(esp when its sat for a week or more) it wont start. The lights all come on and everything, but the engine does nothing, doesnt crank or anything. have to sit there and keep returning the key over and over and over until it starts. I swapped the starter with one i know that works and the problem still persists.

any ideas?

Probably the ignition switch. Dead batteries will usually make relays click because there isn't enough voltage to keep the relay magnitized to it's switch contact. Have you tried jiggling the key?

I'd say to go for a little dashdive and remove the lower cover off the steering column, then you can look at the solder connections on the back of the switch.
If you see one that is melted off or 'frosty' replace the switch.
CAUTION; the flat ribbon cable for the SRS is very touchy.
Don't even look at it sideways, much less jerk it around.
