O2 Sensor on 2006 Accord V6
#11
I have a 2003 Accord Ex 4 cyl AT, that needs a secondary O2 sensor; the one on the cat converter. How do I tell which is the exact replacement? there are a couple of these available on Amazon that fit my vehicle. the part# that I think is the correct one is Denso 234-4797. Anyone else use this? thanks.

Follow up on similar O2 sensor on 2006 Accord V6
I been searching web and am new to this. Would the Denso Sensor #234-4368 be the OE part? For a CA 2006 Accord V6 showing this P0138 error bank 1 sensor 2. What is confusing is seeing the Honda part (SKU: 36532-RAA-A02), it shows a gasket allowing wire to have a seal going below seat. I see Denso photos that have do and do not have gasket. Insight would help. Thank you in advance.

A lot of places show a photo of a "typical" sensor, and not necessarily the specific one. That seal for the wire going through the floor would be a good question for the seller.
Also, have you ruled out problems with the wiring and narrowed it down to the sensor itself?

Hi Jim,
Thank you for your feedback and response. As a newbie, I am still researching to make sure I'm looking at the right location for this model car (confirmed from web search) and seeing if I understand the P0138 error from the check engine light. I do believe I would need to go under the passenger seat to look at the wiring there and under the car to visually inspect. The wire connector for this O2 sensor needs to be checked I think for continuity? ...So I have not ruled out wiring. I'm looking a videos on how to and what reading to look for with a multimeter (which wires etc and ohms). This check engine light seems to go on and off as we had not driven the car due to work from home / pandemic. If it matters for context in this, the car battery needed a jump after sitting in the garage for a while. And when the check engine light first showed up a month ago, the light was on and off after driving once or twice a week for a short drive. I had taken the car to AutoZone for a quick scan to see the P0138 and secondary P0137 code. I was thinking the non electrical path would be to replace the sensor and see if that works long term. But with the O2 connector off I can check the wire with the multimeter once I figure out the wires to check and the reading to look for... thank you.
