Sorry I still haven't gotten to the odometer bulb yet.

I called Honda Canada (who said they can't give out the part number lol) and the girl said it was a 14v 1.4 watt bulb for around 11.00 dollars.

She then told me it would take someone to install it. I said to her, of course.. it's something I'm going to have to do!

Can anyone confirm that the odometer bulb is indeed a 14v 1.4 watt bulb?

if its not to late with this post... u do not need to remove the steering just lower it down as far as it let you,and yes you have to remove your dash to get to your instrument panel.remove the cluster and andfrom there you can replace your bulb. if your dimmerdoes not help your light to brigthen upthen it is probably your bulb that is weak.
The post was not late as I managed to attack the bulb last weekend! hehe

I did however find the process to be frustrating and not a quick 10 minute job. I did not remove the steering wheel--I removed the covers around the base of the wheel (where the ignition switch is). Once that was done, you can access with ease the two screws holding the instrument panel in on the bottom. I didn't have to remove the dash. When I took out the panel, my eyes bugged out. There were SO many bulbs back there.

I bought a package of bulbs from Lordco for 2 bucks (honda quoted me 11)--they were 12v "instrument bulbs". I now have an odometer light!!

Downside is, a few days before this, when I put my car in drive, it doesn't show the pretty green box saying the car is in drive.. it shows all the other boxes that I gear into, just not the main drive. Lovely. Not sure if it's a bulb (why would it ONLY be that box...) or something else.

My car is going into the shop tomorrow since the check engine light is now on. I think I've narrowed down why the car has been stalling--the ignition switch. I called Honda and the snarky guy replied that there were no recalls showing for my call and that I'm only entitled to one recall. [sm=boosign.gif]
