Default oil leak

Hey guys I tried searching but couldnt come up with an answer so here we go.
I found an oil leak and after wiping my engine and tightening my oil pan which seems to be sweating I turned the car on and let it ride. I saw the dripping shooting out in bursts and drops and it seemed to be coming from whats in between the manual tranny and the engine. I really couldn't get a better look cause I only got a jack and the car was really hot but any guesses on what it could be or what should I be looking for? any help will be appreciated thanks.

That's a major oil leak. Get it to a mechanic ASAP, sounds like the rear main seal went out.

sounds like a rear main to me as well ,, but since you said you tighten up the oil pan , it could also be that you squashed the gasket ,, need to remove the flywheel cover to proper identify leak
