I have a 2004 Accord 6 speed coupe... I am getting an oil drip that appears to be coming from around the clutch inspection cover, I believe. I have not yet received my factory shop manuals to look for a scource, so any ideas? Is this a common problem?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Oil Leak
by clutch inspection cover are you referring to the opening between the tranny and engine that is used for setting the timing?

can you get us a picture?

No common oil leak areas that I know of on 04's...

RE: Oil Leak
Kinda looks like it's running down the engine from somewhere up top but I could be wrong.... if it is from that area and it's coming from inside I'd venture to guess that it's a rear main seal.... However, I sincerly hope I'm wrong.... Give it a bit and see if someone else has an opinion....

Yeah, my thought also... I looked around as much as I could, but did not seem to find any from up top. I will look again in the morning.
I just hate to think a rear main seal with only 50k miles...
