Wow....put 3 quarts of oil in and it's still leaking...took it back to the dealership when this first happened and they told me it was the distributor ring. They said they replaced it. The oil came out in less than 40 miles... passenger side... All over the driveway. Is there a possibility that the mechanic rigged it so it would stop for a while?

Neighbor pulled the distributor and told us that there is oil in it and it has some kind of loose part (under the cap).

Is there a plug in a distributor?

He said I may have to buy a whole new distributor. Is this true, or is there another fix? Don't want to put another $500 into this. How many seals are in a distributor?
Would this one problem actually dump all the oil out in such a fast pace?
