Oil leaks

Default Oil leaks

I have a 2002 honda civic and leaks oil thru seals due to crankcase air pressure ? I was told by a mechanic that it need a rebuild. ( I don't think so ! )What should I do

how many miles are on your car? Try replacing the PCV valve its cheap and is designed to "pull" the extra pressure out of the case.

The reason your mechanic told you that you need a rebuild is because the pressure is created by piston blow by from a worn out engine. Do a compression test after you replace the PCV. Search ericthecarguy's youtube page for instructions on how to do a compression test.
