Default Oil Pan Installation Tips?

So I just got my new oil pan and gasket in the mail today. Any tips or tricks I can use or do? And i've been told to bolt the pan on in a criss cross pattern. like from front left corner to rear right corner etc. how hard should I torque them. I did this one time and i know i completely torque'd it wrong and its still leaking....any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i'm not sure how hard you have to torque them but i believe you can buy a special tool to torque them so you'll get the equal amount of torque on those bolts .. you can get that at either autozone or pepboys.. goodluck

get a can of 3m spray adhesive, spary the block and the gasket side that will go to the block,,, also get some Honda-bond,, put a slight amount on the curved part and the opposite part on the gasket before you stick it up on the block,,, put some honda-bond on the same places on the oil pan before you put it up.......

As for the bolts and nuts, use a small rachetm extension and a 10mm socket ,, tighten the bolts starting in the middle on a criss cross sequence,, do not overtighten them or gasket will squish out and leak..
