Oil Pressure Indicator Light Issue

Sometimes it's due to low RPM especially when you first stop.

Try going through the "base-idle" setting & the process of forcing the PCM to "re-learn" the idle.

I have been having this same issue recently and it’s really been throwing me off. You say the engine clearances aren’t as tight? Which specific clearances are those?

Please have the oil pressure checked. All thicker oil will do it put a band aid on the issue. If you have low oil pressure it is going to be a bad oil pump or worn out rod or main bearing or both. Oil pressure lowers when the engine warms up. I have seen people put really thick oil in a car with low oil pressure to trade it in at the dealership.
