P1457
P1457 came up on my 99 Accord LX 4 cyl. I've read that it can be a number of things. Not sure how diagnose this properly but I'm thinking to replace CVS first since it is most common part to go bad and there is a Honda TSB on that http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/at...7&d=1107021677
if that doesn't fix it then I'll try bypass valve and two way valve. Is there a good way to test these valves? I really don't want to replace a lot of parts for nothing and any troubleshooting advise would be really helpfull.

You are definitely on the right track there. have you tried simply clearing the ECU and seeing if the light comes back on? Try taking the gas cap loose and tightening it back down (till at least 3 clicks) then clear the ECU and see if the code comes back.
I know 1457 is not becasue of a loose gas cap(normally a 1456), but it is worth a shot since the procedure is free and super easy.
I wouldn't necessarily start replacing parts just yet. If I were you I would think about taking it to a shop that specializes in Hondas. Unless you can go junkyard diving and recover EVAP components for dirt cheap.

I live in Ohio so we have snow and salt on the roads and TSB says that CVS is most likely cause of my problem (hope not PCM!). I was thinking about junk yards but afraid that valves from there can be bad but might be worth a shot if I get parts cheap. Can I use valves from any LX 98-02 on my 99 or I need parts from 99 only? I also reseted the light by pulling fuse #13, I'll see if it comes up back. Most likely it will.
