Passenger door won't close
I'm in a sweet 97 Accord LX. Don't be jealous.
The passenger door is not closing properly. The car hasn't been in a wreck so there isn't any body damage. The subsequent effects of this are that the dashboard open door indicator lights up, the light on the lower part of the passenger door won't go out, and the dome light comes on (which I can turn off, but then it is off when I open the door). At one point there was a screw in the door frame I thought I could tighten and fix this, but that doesn't seem to work now. Any help is appreciated.

RE: Passenger door won't close
Make sure that the latch that holds the door closed is in the right position ..... you can compare it with the working driver's side. If it's not, pull the door handle and move it with a screwdriver, or your finger if you don't care about the black grease on your hands.

RE: Passenger door won't close
The door wont completely close physically or the light just wont go out and the door is closing just fine. Is this just a door light not going out problem, a door switch should keep all the interior lights on, should it not??? This may just be a wiring problem and not a door or a door switch problem, please clearify.

try checking the door striker, loosen up the 2 phillip screws , tap in on the door striker ( inward ) , tighten the screw and see if the door closes beter ..I have seen a misadjusted door striker cause what you are experiencing
