Default Please help

I just recently purchased an 08 Accord V6 for my son. Beautiful, 100k mike car. It started missing and code read cyl 3 misfire. Changed plugs and replaced coil on said cylinder. Still random missing. Pulled out all plugs and inspected for a oil , and or irregular burn. Nothing notable found. Performed a compression test. All cylinders at 190 to 200 psi. Re-install plugs and coil, still missing. On all the forums I read about the VCM issues. I don’t believe this is the VCM doing this, for it does it on a cold as well as warm engine. If it were the VCM woes, I would muzzle it, There is a strange thing it does between 1500 and 2000 RPM under very light acceleration. It kind of has a Shudder, and I can watch the tach needle jump up and down a few hundred RPM. Under heavy acceleration, the car is a beast, the issues are all between 1500 and 3000 rpm. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m not in a position to keep taking it to a dealer, and I am well-equipped to figure out most problems, I just need steered in the correct direction. My wife has owned an Odyssey, and is on her third pilot, no issues thus far. I just can’t see what the issue is here, I love the Accord, But I’m losing more hair by the day over this.

I'm going to move this over to General Tech where more people will probably see it. The "new member" area is mostly for welcome & introductions.

What is the actual code number you are getting from the scanner?

This sounds like my daughter in laws Pilot, in that it gets a misfire, then turns on the check engine light. She's taken it to the dealer 4 times now, and no code coughs up, so they clear the codes and turn off the CEL light. Then it runs fine for a few months or 6 months or so then it does it again. The dealer can't find the problem with it either.
