please help heat problem

My method, not trying to start a debate.....
Once the new stat is in and sealed up. Open the bleeder, set the heat to max heat. Slowly fill the rad with coolant until it starts to come out of the bleeder-at a pretty good flow...not bubbles, a flow. Close the bleeder, top off rad and overflow, replace cap. Start car and let it run until the fans come on, keeping an eye on the temp gauge......this time of year and based upon where you live, the time until the fans come on could be 20~30 minutes....if the temp spikes and the fans don't come on, shut the car off.
