Default Question on 88 accord oil pan gasket change.

I need to replace my leaky oil pan gasket. I understand I have to remove the crossmember, as well as unbolt the exhaust to get enough room to manuver the pan out. I believe the Haynes manual stated that you also need to support the engine with a hoist during this, as well disconnect the rear engine mount. Is this correct? Did I leave anything out? Is it possible to do this repair without the hoist, since I do not have one? Seems to be an awful lot of trouble.

No need to remove the rear motor mount, so no need to support engine. You might need to remove the lower shield of the trans housing.
When you drop the exhaust, remove the entire bracket that supports the pipe behind the oil pan.
