Default Quick Question for you guys

Well I have had issues with the rotors warping on my 2005 accord v6 sedan auto transmission. I am looking for a set of rotors for the front and rear that are either slotted, drilled, dimpled, slotted and dimpled, or slotted and drilled. I would like to know what brands you suggest and what type you think are best. This is just a site I found that has all types with lifetime warranty against warping for only the slotted and dimpled rotors all the others have a 2 year. http://brakeperformance.com/brake-ro...ake-Rotors.php

How quickly are you warping your rotors? Are the pads wearing down unevenly? Do you accelerate/brake hard? Go through a lot of big puddles? Is your gas mileage reduced?

the rotors have been warped since I bought the car they just werent that bad then. I never hit puddles. I dont ride the brakes. I would have to say that i am a quick driver... thats why i was looking into drilled and slotted(comes with a 2yr warranty) or dimpled and slotted(comes with a lifetime warranty) which ever is better.

Why I asked you about your driving style is that I do not want you to waste money on expensive rotors to have them warp again.

One thing that can cause rotors to warp is dragging brakes. If you can find a road with little traffic, drive the car at <50 mph, then allow it to coast to a stop ( don't use the brakes_. If the rotors are not hot to the touch, then the brakes aren't dragging, and use whatever rotor you want.

brakes arent draggin. i found on a honda forum site a whole explanation as to the history of drilled/slotted rotors and found that they are just for looks now especially for my hawk ceramic pads i bought. Looks like im goin to be gettin centric solid vented rotors for christmas. Thx for the help though.

What I meant is when you get new rotors, consider bedding them in that way to prevent you from warping the new ones.

What's the measured runout of your rotors? How much are they actually warped?

I was goin to follow the bedding procedure that the hawk pads came with, 6-10 slow downs from 30-35 mph then 2-3 harder stops from 40-45mph then let system cool for 15min.

I dono what the runout is cus i never looked at them... I went to take them off and found some gay little screws that hold it on. Looked like too much of an effort in freezing cold weather so i left it alone. I think that the sensitivity of the brake pedal though does exagerate the warpage compared to other cars i have driven.
