Is it normal for my radiator fan to turn on after I turn off my ignition on a hot day, it is a 95 Accord.

 

Yes, it is normal for the fan to turn on for a couple of minutes on a really hot day.

You might want to check your coolant level when the car is cold to make sure it is full.

 

I have a 95 Accord and the fan is staying on after you shut it off. The time interval got progressively longer each year. It is in my case the radiator going bad. Take a look at the radiator core near the bottom. See if some of the core fins are missing, soft, and discolored. Mine is the OE so to last this long is amazing. The time of the fan running was a lot longer this year and it overheated on the Freeway, but a new radiator and it will be fine. I am trying to decide what brand to get.
