Hi, everyone. I have a 2009 Accord Coupe 4 cyl, 21K on it. Starting last fall I noticed a short rattle/grind at cold start. Gas mileage tanked. The dealer said the VTC actuator was faulty and replaced it February 2010 per the TSB. Sound stopped. It started again December 2010, gas mileage tanked again. VTC actuator replaced again last month. Sound started again this morning! I am in SE North Carolina and the colder it is in the morning, the more likely it will make this mysterious sound. Has anyone else experienced this? How was it fixed?

I had a 2003 4-cyl and it never did that. (So I can't be much help for your question)
