Default Rear Brake Issue

Hi everyone, I had my '07 Accord under a cover while it was outside for a few weeks, and when I took it off, the brake discs looked rusted. Does that normally happen?

Also, when I put it in reverse, I felt and heard a little grinding noise. Something I'm concerned about is the black metal shield that goes behind the brake disc. For my front wheels, I notice that the metal shield is about a centimeter away from the brake disc; but with my rear wheels, the metal shield is almost, if not already, touching the brake disc. Should I take it in for service? Thanks.

Default RE: Rear Brake Issue

It's normal for the rotors to get rust during storage. It'll polish off with the first couple stop signs. That's the grinding noise, too.

Don't remember offhand about the spacing to the splash shield. Do they look bent? I'm guessing they're OK.
