Im not sure if it is a child safety issue,but both rear door windows do not go fully down.Just past halfway down they stop.Is there a stop or bracket inside the door I can remove so I can let the window go down to the bottom?

I was going to take the door panel off and have a look,but do not want to remove it unless someone knows for sure.I hate cracking the small plastic parts on the old door panels.

I have a 97 mine go down just past 1/2 way down.

This is a design of the car and cannot be changed.

 

Thanks...I cant imagine it cannot be modded to go lower.Is it because the door is narrow inside?

It is by design.

If you try modifying, you may be restricted by the travel of the window regulators. The rear regulator are somewhat shorter in length compared to the fronts.

Even the newest Accord sedan rear windows do not go all the way down.

 

Note the dogleg on the bottom of the back doors to accommodate the rear wheel wells.

 

we own a new Toyota Corolla and the rears go all the way down
