Question Rear Hub Assembly

So I bough a new rear hub for my 97 EX but it was too big. Seller said my car must have been from the later 97 production. However, buying the part from the auto parts store (since I needed a new one fast) I only needed to specify the car, no vin, and got an exact fit.

So before I sell this hub I cant use (got a refund but they didnt want it back), does anyone know what models it will fit?

It has the ABS 'gear' and is a bigger size bearing than what is supposed to go on my car. But it does have the same 4 wheel stud pattern.

Wagons and V6's have bigger rear wheel bearings and the same lug bolt pattern as four cylinder sedans/coupes. The bigger bearing also fits some Acura CLs.

Here is the response

"The part we sent to you is 512172. Its tech spec says the hub pilot diameter is 2.8 inch and fits Accord 1997 model and before. There is another part which part number is 512177 is for 1998 model and after. The hub pilot diameter is 2.6 inch which is smaller. I thought your car was made by late of 1997 so you should go 512177..."

I'm thinking that was crap and figured the v6 would have a bigger hub. But not the EX.

Now I can sell the part knowing what it fits. thanks guys.
