Default Rear speakers not working

I just bought a 2002 Accord SE. I can't get the rear speakers to work. I have a single disc cd factory radio that came with the car. I played with the fade button but it only functions for the front and the door speakers.i looked at the wiring harness and all the wires are connected. Is the head unit had?

The stereo handles the sound, so a bad head unit is possible. The other thing you want to check is the wiring at the stereo and on the speakers in the trunk. Who knows if the wiring was cut to install a system in the trunk.

Try to follow the wiring as far back as you can go in the trunk. Let us know if you have a volt meter, because we can give you a better way to verify the wiring is good.

check under your seats. i found that my deck had been wired to a small amp under my seat, which is why the fader wasn't working (they spliced front and rear stereo channels together) and that also led to the rear speakers no longer functioning.
