Default Recall on airbags in 2001 - 2003 Accords

Anyone get the letter from Honda? I got it yesterday and took my Accord to the local dealer service center today. They made me wait over two hours to tell me that they didn't have the replacement parts and would have to order them. They were sure to come back with a report of $1000s of dollars in repairs I should perform though, lol, gotta love em.

I just started paying attention to the Takata airbag situation and discovered my 2001 Accord is now being included in Honda's expanded recall; I wonder if these two recalls are somehow linked. Either way, it looks like my car is getting a new airbag.

My last car was a Ford, I got a recall on the engine block heater. Called and made the appointment, gave them the numbers form the letter. Made an appointment for a week later. Dropped off the car. Picked it up later that day. Said they had not done the recall work because they didn't have the part. I asked them why not. Reply was they don't stock an engine block heater. I asked them why they didn't order it when I made the appointment. Just got a blank look.
