Default Remote oil filter adapter for 2005 Accord

Hello, I searched the forums but could not find a reference for this.

Now that I'm changing my own oil now and have a device to pull it out of the dipstick hole, I was considering getting a remote oil filter adapter that would allow me to be able to change the filter without lifting the car.

I haven't been able to find a universal (or specific) setup for a 2005 Accord 2.3 liter. The latest year I see for a product is the 2003 Accord.

Has anyone here found such a device that I would be able to lookup and purchase?

Thanks.
Jeff

The 03 and 05 accord have the same engine, so the adapter for the 03 should work. You can try to contact the company that makes the adapter to find out.

IMO, jacking up the car to access the oil filter and the drain plug maybe adds and extra 10 minutes to change the oil. Plus you can see if any metal is in the bottom of the pan when it drains out of the bottom of the pan. Use jack stands to do this, because safety should be your #1 priority.

Thanks, thats good info to know. My garage is normally too full to work in it comfortably, and it can be either too hot or too cold to get the nerve to work on it in the driveway. I'm was hoping to make it a "stand up" affair so I would change it more frequently now that I have over 100K miles.

I understand about avoiding that stuff when the weather is nasty.

I would guess that if you can't get it to work out from the top, then you have a good reason to organize and clear some room in your garage to do it?

I'm in the process of doing just that. I'm trying to sell my baby . I just don't drive it enough.
