I just bought a new Accord Coupe (V6) and I would like to install a remote start. I have done enough research to know that there can be major problems. The dealers I have called use aftermarket products, which I am told if not choosing the correct one can immobilize the security system. If I put in an aftermarket the installer is a professional and does work at a Honda dealership. Right now I am leaning toward the Avital 5303 2 way system. They are the same company that makes the Viper. I don't need any problems with a new car. Any thoughts??

 

If you get another shop (non-dealership) to install the remote start, and there are problems, you could have the installer blaming the car, and the dealership blaming the remote start installation for the problem. I think it's best to have the dealership install it, then if a problem comes up, they have no-one else to blame.
