Removing Rocker Arm Assembly

Default Removing Rocker Arm Assembly

Just read the DIY for replacing lower rocker arm seals. I was planning on removing the the rocker arm asmbly while leaving the distributor on (I'll just remove the top bolt) and leaving the timing belt in place as well. Do I have to have someone hold down the distributor-side of the camshaft to keep it from popping up????

(F22a motor, auto tranny)

No, don't worry,the camshaft will just lay there and play dead.
When you go back together use a torque wrench, and the propertightening sequence.

There's some good diagrams in the haynes manual for the tightening sequence.
