Repairing a 96 Accord...
Hello everyone,
I am posting here for a friend... he is purchasing a 96 Accord that was in a minor car accident and needs to be repaired. The car was hit on the front bumper, damaging the bumper, headlights, grille, and hood. Front fenders did not receive any damage. Engine wasn't damaged in the wreck either.
What do we all need to fix this up? I'm not familiar with Accords, so any help is appreciated.
Here is what I know we need:
2 Headlights
Grille
2 Bumper Mounts
Bumper shock absorber
Bumper cover
Now, I'm not sure if there is actual headlight brackets needed, are there? We will probably be just fixing the car up so it looks good and is drivable, don't need anything fancy. We'll probably just buy everything off of Ebay, cause the local junk yards are pretty pricey.
Thanks in advance..
Dan

RE: Repairing a 96 Accord...
Oh, a little bit about the car as well...
1996 Accord (EX?) Sedan
Dark green
240k miles
Other than the front end, the car is in decent shape. Needs to have the exhaust fixed up, and there's a dent in the rear-drivers side door, but doesn't affect anything mechanically. The rear tires are also in need of a replacement.
My friend is purchasing the car from another friend for $200.
With the items I listed in the post above for the front end, through Ebay, I can get it all for $262.13 shipped.

Check out www.hondaautomotiveparts.com. That site gives you broken down diagrams with part numbers for different components of the car. Of course, those are all Honda OEM parts ($$), but at least it should show you what you need to look for
