Default replace the clutch? which kind?

so it turns out that the reason my accord broke down was the tranny locked up due to a leak. This was a hard hit to me because Im only 17 and it took me a year to save up for this car. On my way home this happens and now I have to replace the tranny. The mechanic helping me is a good guy and reccomended i get a new clutch put in while hes putting in the new tranny. the car has 100k miles and the clutch hasnt been replaced yet so i was wonbdering if i should. if yes then what kind of clutch? exedy stage 1?

thanks

unless you've got a number of bolt ons for horsepower increase there really is no need to get a perforamce clutch. All a "performance clutch" is going to do is grab faster so there is less slip, in daily driving this means that when you go to take off it's going to act like you're dropping the clutch and it will grab more quickly, jerk a bit (possibly) and just makes for uncomfortable driving in general. If it's a stock motor I'd just go with an OEM clutch and if you want some gains get a light weight flywheel put in.

Sir, do you happen to know how much torque a stock clutch can support? Will you be okay with I/H/E and maybe some other small mods?
