Replaced my axle and boom: ABS light
I swapped my OEM axle today with an autozone axle. pt # 8097 and after driving for a minute or so, the abs light turns on. Has anyone ever ran into this problem before? I serchd but found nothing.
Would it be an issue with the abs sensor on the cv? Or is there some kind of bypass i can do? Thanks
I have a 4cyl, im sure it helps....

That new axle DOES have the toothed ring for the wheel sensor? It needs that.
Did you manage to unplug the ABS sensor? The plug is inside the engine bay, pretty sure it's clipped to the outside of the shock tower. IIRC the plug is orange plastic.
Cut that wire while working? Leave a pile of metal shavings stuck to the sensor?

It could be the teeth on the cv joint or the sensor.
I would just remove the wheel and clean any debris off of the sensor and clean the teeth on the cv joint. Make sure that you tightened the two bolts to the sensor (if you removed it when you replaced the CV joint).
It is possible that the wiring or sensor could have been damaged when you replaced the CV joint. Follow the sensor wire to its connector and unplug it. Test the resistance on the two pins. See if it is in the same range as the other sensor's resistance.
