Hi all,

I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX Coupe. I replaced a bad window regulator and motor. The new regulator seems to work well but when the window closes, there is still a small gap at the front/top of the window right above the rear view mirror. The door panel is still off and it looks like there is a lot of play with the window. I can hold the front of the window from the bottom and push it up. If I do this and close the window there is no gap. Am I missing some adjustment?

Was the gap there before?

Don't have the manual for that gen on this computer, see the DIY section for one you can download.

There are adjustments (using the 95 and my 3rd gens) to the window that can be made. If there is "slack" in the window it sounds like something is loose.

 

The gap was not there before the regulator went bad. And it wasn't there even when the regulator was not working properly. At some point though, I had to hold the window up and finesse the regulator up enough to would the window closed. (It looked like the regulator had a worn out tooth that would sometimes and not others).

I will see if I can download a manual like you suggested to look for adjustments. The only thing I can think right now is to move the window on the bottom track of the regulator. I don't know. Thanks for your help, any other suggestions from anyone?
