So this is correct except take the red thing that was in the port already and put it in fuse slot A?

 

Not sure what red thing you're referring to.

1. Try this first with Fuse slot no. 29 or 31. Put one or two fuses (that came with the kit) into the add-a-circuit and plug into slot 29 or 31. Turn ignition to ON. Does monitor power up? If not, turn the add-a-circuit 180 degrees and try again.

2. If that doesn't work, try it in a used slot. Follow the instructions and put a fuse only into Slot B first.

3. If following the pdf instructions doesn't work, check the connection on the butt connector and at the monitor.

Should I use a voltage tester and use the ground wire on a screwdriver or something metal and the hot wire on the blue part in here; https://i.imgur.com/imQEM0b.jpg
Also, I tried it in slot 7 and plugged the fuse into B and I electricity (a spark) when I plugged it in, but when I connected the copper wire from the monitor, it still does not power on
Is there anyway I can test the monitor wiring by connecting to a 9V battery or something? Thanks!

 

Should I take the copper wiring and attach it to the fuse slot instead of the (+) accessory?

I am just going to order the add-a-circuit from Amazon. I think the positive holder in the add-a-circuit I received is faulty. I used the radio as power and the radio worked but the monitor did not.
