Default Revving problem

Okay guys so I have a honda accord 95 ex. 2.2 vtec. I recently replaced the engine. I replaced it with the same engine. Same year and all. I took it for a drive and it seems to be in limp mode. It wont rev past 3500 rpms. CEL on.

I pulled the cel code and i got code 4. Crank angle. I did an ohms test of the sensor and its within spec. Whats next?

On my car the crank angle is figured out using three sensors, Crank position sensor, a sensor on the cam and one other one I can't remember. Granted this is on an OBD-II car.
So hmm, I would suggest testing the alternator first.

The scheme of timing sensors changed a lot between OBD-1 vs. OBD-2. In 1995 it was all 3 sensors inside the distributor (CKP, CYP, & TDC). Code 4 is CKP sensor.

Check the wiring harness plug at the distributor. Loose/dirty/corroded?
Look inside the distributor. Red dust indicates a bad distributor shaft bearing, but it also might get that dust in around the magnetic sensors to mess em up.
