Default Right hand axel boot damage.

Well today I was checking the 89 accord lxi 5 speeds to see where the drain oil drain plug is and things like that and I discover that the boot of the axel in my right wheel was broken. I justed checked the diy for the axel, but I do not have all the requiered tools and I must say at this moment I do not feel confident to do it my self, so I have to take to the mechanic, how much do you think this would cost me?
I checked the part in advance an it is about $70.00. the thing is that I have been driving the car and outside the pulling to the left side (which I think it might be just an aliment) the car runs good, no noise or clacking.

I will take some pictures and see what you think, maybe the boot can be replaced?

If you took apart the axle the boot could be replaced. But as long as it's torn then dirt and debris is going to build up in it and start to damage the joint. If the axle joint isn't too damaged, or simply has dirty grease, you shuld be able to rebuild it without problems, but if there is serious scoring in it and on the bearings, you are best off getting a new one.

if there is no noise when you are cornering , just have the shop replace the cv boot,, the boot kit ( comes with boot, 2 bands and grease ) is about 10-15 dollars , labor should be around 1 to 1,1/2 hrs

As for the pulling first thing you want to do is check the tires make sure there is no unusual uneven wear and chk tire pressure,, if tires look ok,, swap the frt tires side to side , if car pulls the opposite way you got a tire problem,, if still pulls the same way , you might want to rotate frt to rear .. if it still pulls the same way ,then i would have car aligned
