Hi guys,
I have a 2006 EXL V6 4 door with 17" factory rims. Looking at buying a set of Honda OEM 7 spoke 16" Alloys that came off of a 2005 Accord EXL V6 and installing P205/60R16 snows on them to use as winter rims. Any reason why the '05 OEM Accord rims wouldn't fit on the '06? (caliper interference etc..)

 

Any thoughts?

 

I don't think they changed anything major between 2005-2006. To confirm, you could go to tirerack.com & go through the motions of shopping for rims for both cars. If they offer the same collection of rims that fit, then you're OK.

 

2 different bolt patterns there one is 4.5 or 114.4mm and the other is 115mm.

 

Wow, I didn't know that. That's a TINY change for Honda to make especially considering 2005 & 2006 are in the same generation.

BTW, 4.5" = 114.3mm which has been Honda's bolt-circle for a long time now. I never realized they changed it. TireRack simply lists 114mm for both years, which I figured was round-off error.

 

Even the big guys like Tire Rack can make a mistake sometimes...

 

Just picked up the rims today. Installed on car and fit perfect! Contacted the Honda dealer and they said they would fit no problem...Thanks!
