Default Running cool?

Anyone else have it where thier accord 2.2 non vtec will run cool? I just replaced the radiator about a month ago, new antifreeze mixed 50/50. It just seems to be a cool running car. The gauge will stay in the blue for a few miles before going past it. It normally runs just past the blue, and when I say just past I mean 1/8 inch above the blue mark. I am in Florida, although it has been cool down here this "winter", it is about 70 degrees on average. New water pump was installed with the timing belt-s. I opened the bleeder as I was supposed to when I did the radiator when I refilled, antifreeze did run out then I closed it. I would think any air in the system would be worked out since the rad replacement. I have put 200-300 miles on since. Is it running normal? The farthest I ever see the needle go is half way between the blue mark and the first mark above it.

My car runs at ~1/4 on the temperature gauge. Its not running cool, the scale is set that way.

A stuck thermostat can cause your problems. Get one from the honda dealership, because it will open at the proper temperature.

It could also be a faulty temperature sending unit or the gauge. The sending unit is bolted into the cylinder head and has one wire going to it. Check that the wire is plugged in properly.

You can also test the gauge by removing the wire from the sending unit, grounding it, turn the key to the II position, and see if the gauge in the car rises (turn off the key before the gauge gets to the hot position, or you can damage the needle).

I was thinking thermostat... When it is at normal operating temp it pretty much hangs out at ~1/4 on mine too, it just seems to take a while to get off the blue. Gonna change the t-stat anyways though, the car has 71K on it I am sure it is due for replacement. Should have done it with the radiator....

That gauge isn't the most accurate thing, but it's reasonably consistant once you know how it behaves FOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL CAR.

When you were saying a bit above the blue etc etc - I was trying to interpret where that is on the scale. 25% to 35% is about the normal place for it. Still, a new T-stat isn't a bad idea either.
