I created a new thread from your post and moved it to the General Tech Help section.

Please do not post help questions in the DIY section.

No, this means you have an air leak somewhere; vacuum lines, PCV, brake vacuum booster, etc. Spray throttle body cleaner around w/ engine idling and listen for a change in idle.

Have you thoroughly cleaned IACV, throttle plate, and throttle bore? If not, try that first.

You should also check that throttle plate is fully closing when on idle stop. If someone ignorantly adjusted throttle plate, idle stop screw the base idle can't be achieved.

good luck

Or (worse yet) someone may have used the throttle cable to adjust idle. In that base-idle post there's a list of things for you to check & fix first, like vacuum leaks & throttle closing.

Have you done any other work? Intake manifold removal where the gasket might not seal? Fuel injector O-rings where they go into the manifold?

Ok, I did clean the above method, I also did take apart the intake (I did a head job) I used the same seal but when I spray carb cleaner all around the intake I get no changes to the idle, I did just continue eith the instructions anyways and car was idling perfect but ss soon as I gave it gas it just shutoff, so I adjusted the idle screw 2 turns and now its idling almost perfect. ? Should I still be worried about it?

If idle speed is 700-800 rpm, then you should be fine.

good luck
