Default Shutter when braking?

OK, here is the situation. I had a major shutter when braking, the rotors where in bad shape. I put new rotors and pads on (front). Got everything hooked up fine, took it fora test drive and there is still a shutter in the steering wheel when braking, usually around 55mph, lower speeds it's not noticeable if it's there. When driving there is not shutter, so I'm thinking it's still a brake problem? I also need new front struts, but I don't think that is the problem?

Any ideas on what's still wrong? or does everything need to settle in?

Aftermarket rotors?
Wouldn't be the first time the rotors came warped right out of the box..
Have them resurfaced.

Try loosening all the lugs and retorqueing them in the correct star fashion and to the right torque. If they're aluminum wheels, they seem to be more prone to distorting the rotors for some reason. Also, you might want to pull the rotors and scrape any rust or dirt from the mating surfaces and the back side of the wheels. A little wobble translates into a lot of shake.

I too have seen aftermarket rotors that were warped out of the box. If you have them turned, they should be able to tell you if they were warped or not from the way it shaves on the brake lathe.

They are the stock wheels from 2001. I just rotated the tires too, if that makes any difference?

It sounds like getting the rotors turned might be the answer, I have to geta state inspection (thanks a lot Pennsylvania), so I should be able to get it all done in one shot.

Thanks for the advice guys, I love this place.
