Smoke Test Cylinder
I don't have any code but I did find that my EGR tube is completely severed but will that cause the car to stall? I will be replacing them. From what I understand, an EGR simply recirculates the unburned exhaust gasses so I don't believe it will cause an stall issue. What do you guys think?

My 97 V6 2.7L accord that I newly acquired will not run for more than 5 miles before it smoke and kills the engine. When I wait about 15 minutes it starts back up again like nothing happened.
- Where does the smoke come from?
- What color is the smoke? Any particular odor?
- Does the engine just turn off, or does it stumble before it stalls?
- What's the temp gauge doing when this is happening?
A little more info please:
- Where does the smoke come from?
-When it stalled and when I opened the hood it was coming from right-rear of the engine, in the same general area of the egr tube - What color is the smoke? Any particular odor?
-It was dark and when the cop shined the light at it on the freeway it was mostly white. - Does the engine just turn off, or does it stumble before it stalls?
-It just turn off, no stumble at all. - What's the temp gauge doing when this is happening?
-The temperature gauge stayed the same.
Link to the EGR tube at 4:42.

I'm afraid that I've never even seen a V6 Honda engine so any advice I can give will be general automotive advice. Perhaps someone with actual V6 experience can chime in.
EGR feeds a bit of exhaust gas back into the intake to reduce combustion temps/NOx. It's unlikely that a disconnected and/or malfunctioning EGR would cause the engine to stall or smoke.

Agreed, I'm about 90% certain the stalling and smoking has nothing to do with any kind of a fault with the EGR system.
