I can't find the specs on my engine or car in general. I have a 2000 Honda Accord V6 Coupe LX Automatic 3.0L. The main thing i need to know is what the max HP the engine can handle before internal work is needed? I was planning on putting in a Garrett T3/TO4E 57 trim w/ .48 a/r, Honda Accord F 22 Series T3 / T4 Turbo Manifold, hks bov, and some intercooler. So what i need to know is this all possible and what is the max hp this engine can handle?

 

Thats a tough question, you dont really see that many v6 turbos. I read a guy who used nitrous 50 shot safely. So iam thinking maybe 6-8 psi. But i rather go 6. Unless iam worng the v6 doesnt have iron cast sleeves like the f23 so you would have to boost lower.

 

Well for one...you'll need a custom manifold to use that turbo b/c that F22 manifold won't fit. Your engine could probably handle upwards of 400hp, its the tranny that will probably fail at like 230 to the wheels.

And you are wrong, the V6 does have iron sleeves, but they have nothing to do with how much boost it can take. The rings on the pistons will go long before the sleeves ever do.

 

So would it be a better idea to just get the supercharger that's a direct bolt on? Which of the two would put more ware and tear on the engine?
