I just purchased my new to me accord about a month ago and since ive had it the speedo only works when it wants to. I used to have a 96 civc ex and i had the same problem with my speedo. I just ignored it and used the tach to figure out my speed.

It normally doesnt work when i start driving. then it will kick on randomly while im driving. I have done some research about it and i know that its on the speed sensor because the check engine light does not come on when it doesnt work and my cruise control still work. I also took the head unit out of the dash board to check the wire harness and to check the contacts and everything seemed fine.

I have had no luck so far with this and it is just kinda annoying that the speedo doesnt work all the time and when the speedometer isnt working the odometer also stops working. so i never really know how much gas mileage im getting. Does anyone have any advice for me?
