Default Speedo works intermitten

Hello fellow Honda owners, I am back with another Honda issue. My 1990 Accords speedo works when it wants to. One minute I am drivin, works fine, then it drops to zero. Most of the time, the S light will start flashing shortly after. Any ideas? Thanks

Vehicle Speed Sensor is the first thing I would check since your speedo quits and your S light begins to blink

Problem is the speed sensor, howerver I don't have $140.00 bucks to replace it so I will just live with it for a while. Or at least until it quits all together. Thanks for your help.
