Default Speedometer Question

Got a speedometer (or speedometer head) that's bad in my '94 accord, or at least I think so. I still have cruise control, so I don't think it's the VSS. Anyone know whether a coupe & sedan speedometer are interchangable?

I found a speedometer five miles from my apartment for $50, but it's for a LX sedan, and I have have a LX coupe. and the I found one for the same price for the coupe, but it's a good 45 minute drive. Oh, and my LX is a manual w/o ABS, and so is the one nearby. Only difference is coupe vs. sedan. Any suggestions?

Thnx

a somewhat common issue for these cars is speedometer failure, I'm not sure what all interchanges but first, try inserting your key into the little slot to the left of your odometer, it resets your "Maintenance Required" indicator and on occasion it will fix your speedo.... Let us know if that works

Just tried it. No luck. Once I crank it, the speedometer sticks between 15 and 20 mph [&:]

I had my speedometer repaired for about $100, because I didn't want to deal with rolling the new speedometer. I would find the speedometer part number on www.hondapartsdeals.com for your car and the one donor vehicle. If they are the same, then they are definitely interchangable.

Good idea, but I couldn't find the part on the website. Thanks, though!

Its under combination meter components. It looks like the part number is 78120-SV4-A01 for both. Doublecheck to make sure.

94 LX 4DR MT Accord and 94 LX 2DR MT (both non ABS) have the exact same part number for the speedo so they should be interchangeable.... Also Honda Parts Warehouse has that same system for parts picking....
