Smile Squeaking Passenger Window - Help!

The passenger window squeaks each time it leaves the rubber molding at the top.

I tried WD-40, no good. On another forum, it was suggested a silicone spray/dry lube spray might work. I bought Liquid Wrench Dry Lubricant, again no help.

Would Permatex silicone spray be the magic cure? I can tell you the window is slightly loose. i.e. at certain spots in the track there is a slight rattle.

What's interesting is the driver side window, which had to be replaced when the window was smashed several years ago - the nitwit took quarters from the change draw - works fine, and doesn't rattle.

Thanks,

Robert

Although a little pricey, what Honda uses and works well is Shin-Etsu grease.

But, a silicone grease or spray should work, it just may not last as long as the Shin-Etsu grease.

Where should the grease or spray be applied? Is it applied to the window track, or does it get applied to a part(s) within the door?

There a rubber channel runs that should be cleaned and then silicone or Shin-Etsu grease applied. It is best to remove the door panel and then clean the channel runs with something like q-tips and rubbing alcohol and then apply the silicone or grease.
